Moving Tip: Keep Organized
The best part about moving is throwing out those things you don’t need anymore and organizing everything that is left. Here are some tips on how to keep your move organized.
Try to keep matching items together when packing boxes. For example, Light bulbs with lamps, extension cords with appliances, Books with bookends etc. Small parts or pieces can be stuck to the item they belong to with tape. With large items like a TV, put the cables in resealable bags and stick them to the back or underside of the item with tape.
It is a good idea also to have a “parts box” open so that you can add all the cables, parts, brackets, nails and pieces that are removed from the furniture. Mark this box with something that stands out so you will have it with you on the arrival day.
